About Me

Once upon a time, there was a site called Aeternalight Astrology. That site, launched in spring 2014, became Zodiac Poetry in early 2017; I wanted an URL that could be simple, easy to memorize, while also reflecting my development as an astrologer and individual. My chart is a combination of Air and Water —  emotion and critical thinking. “Zodiac Poetry” conveys the left-brain/right-brain, Air/Water, sense/sensibility synergy that informs my outlook on Astrology and life as a whole.
Back when the site was still called Aeternalight Astrology, I wrote using the pseudonym Aeterna. I dropped that mask, in favour of my actual name, Cristina — a real, actual person, with a real, actual story. It’s the story of someone who didn’t have the best upbringing and struggled with understanding herself and the world for a long, long time. Finding Astrology (as well as discovering my spiritual side and getting into metaphysics), which happened a decade ago, was the start of a painful, cathartic, heartfelt process of self-discovery and self-healing that is still in progress, and gets deeper and deeper everyday.
As a Libra with Cancer rising, introspection and compassionate understanding are two of the assets I bring to my Astrological practice. A MA in Cultural Anthropology and my passion for applying metaphysical knowledge to day-to-day life complete the picture; I’m interested in Tarot, witchcraft, and all other tools for exploring the human Soul and psyche. Beside this, I’m also a trained singer (Coloratura Soprano register), and I’ve been involved in the underground Black Metal scene for years, as both a musician and an online magazine editor. I’m definitely a major music junkie, and when I’m not singing, reading, listening to music or roaming around in the woods I’m often found playing guitar or bass. My love of Art is the reason why I seek to enhance my writings with audio and visuals to facilitate a deeper, intuitive connection with the planetary energies. I strive to make astrology relatable, accessible and relevant to everyday life… especially for introverts, intuitives, empaths, and creatives.
I was born in Italy, and I’ve spent the past 6 years moving across the country. I’m not entirely sure where life will take me next.
As an Astrologer, I’m mostly self-taught, even though I have occasionally participated to workshops and online courses (such as the Know Yourself masterclass hosted by Faith Thomas of Insight Astrology). However, I strive to constantly sharpen and upgrade my skills, and not a single day goes by without further educating myself on the many layers of this timeless discipline. Most of you might have this figured out already, but for those who aren’t sure: I practice Western, Tropical Astrology, mostly inspired by the psychological and evolutionary schools (although I’m not entirely aligned with the whole of the evolutionary paradigm).
Astrology to me is a way of life, and a major part of my own spiritual Path. I believe we’re living in an intelligent Universe in which everything is interconnected – and that reality manifests on different levels of density. Planets are not the cause of our daily events; energy is. The Universe, the Spirit, speaks to us in many languages, and I have chosen Astrology. Why? Because I believe our ultimate purpose is living in harmony with the Universe itself, and establishing a communication is therefore crucial. Keeping my eye on the planets allows me to align to myself, and to a Higher Good. Allowing things to manifest. Ultimately, I’m persuaded our tangible reality is but the last link in the chain of a number of layers that stem from unseen worlds within us, worlds where everything is One, including us and the celestial bodies.

  • Thank you for this great article, I’m counting the days when this Saturn in Scorpio torture will finally be over 🙁 I have Sun in Cancer, AS in Scorpio, Saturn in Scorpio 12th house, Mars in Scorpio 12th house, what can I say, this last 2 and half years were absolutely horrible. But I would like to say something positive about all. It was hard, but it taught me a great deal of things. I had deep struggles with myself and with the people around me, but I learnt a lot. To never give up. To stay optimistic and positive even when I was at the bottom and may I just say, in my nature I’m not optimistic kind of person at all, but I’ve learnt to be one because things just can’t stay bad forever, something has to change eventually. I’ve been through many bad moments few years earlier, deaths, losing my beloved job.. I refused to face my emotions and reality in those moments, I was living in a complete denial but finally I had to do it in last two years. Some of my friends showed their true faces which made me even more miserable but I managed to pull myself from revenge or outbursting. I ganied even more patience and self-control etc.. There were times when I thought I can’t take those emotions anymore, but something was pushing me to get up and fight. I wish only the best for everyone who had the same or similar time as I did but also best of luck and success for the ones who weren’t affected that much by Saturn in Scorpio. I hope Sagittarius will bring us all some nice things and positive experiences 🙂

It means you’re approaching your first Saturn Return ever, which is a very important moment in the Life of an individual and signals your entrance into astrological adulthood. I’m not doing personal readings yet but I’m accepting free questions, so you can drop me an e-mail if you like.

  • Warm meetings.

I was hoping you could share some advice on a few decisions I have been weighing. I studied Anthropology for my BA and currently am in a MA for Human Resources and Labor Relations. I have been feeling that this is not where I’m supposed to be, that it’s not my story, and have been considering re-enrolling for a BA in environmental studies and sustainability, specializing in environmental economics. This is a total shift of course and at this point I’m not sure where it ends but i feel that it would be of greater service than my current degree. I was born Feb 29th, 1992: 12:36am. The Pisces in me sees many possibilities but my old fears of failure and the obscure nature of a new path or making me hesitant to change my life to such a degree. My hope would be to help communities build a more sustainable economic means, in ways of urban farms and helping new developments balance our place with nature.

    Hope all is well,
    -TS

It is said to be in fall in this sign but you described it in a positive manner which is not all doom and gloom even though Saturn will always present with challenges. Would you be available for a private reading? Blessings and best wishes for 2015

This has put a lot of strain on my 12 years relationship. Coming at a cross road. Possibly will go back to the UK or France this summer. I don’t know. Major change this past year is a strong sense of faith and spiritual purpose. Trying to volunteer ( medical field) more in the meantime. Other than that, quite an overwhelming sense of confusion in general and need for freedom….for how long? Neptune opposing sun Mars conjunction and Uranus triggering my T square….what are your thoughts for work and relationships in next coming year? Many thanks and season greetings

  • Hi Aeterna!

I firstly wanted to thank you for your insight and wisdom. I am a Pisces and have been strongly feeling these intense energies the last few months and seem to leave left myself scattered, a bit depleted, and pushing friends ad loved ones away. I have a wonderful boyfriend and watch genuine people all day log, work around then too. I can’t seem to find what makes me tick per se and where to go from here, that is to say that I’ve had many interests in the past but nothing seems to stick for long. I fear my moves right now are ingenuine and I don’t know how to stop and regain my footing. seems that when I do I start another project or interest. is there hope for Saturn in Sagitarius for someone like this? and what will this mean, rediscovering truth when my truth feels a bit clumsy. how to be humble and make wise choices from here. can I email you my birthday specifically ?

  • Are people with sun, moon or ascendant in Libra more attached to a select group of people (say, in the family) i.e who they give utmost importance to? Is that a visible trait? Just curious.

    Reply
    • Well, to some extent, I guess you could say the same thing for everybody, I think most of us are more comfortable with people who display certain traits rather than others 🙂 (If I understood the question correctly, that is).

  • Hello I just found your article on the new moon in Capricorn and am totally impressed with the way it made me think, and the specific things that need to be addressed. I was wondering what a natal reading/chart is? What does it include? Thank you.

    Reply
    • Dear Adreanna, in this context, “reading” is often a synonym for “consultation”, which basically equals to a counselling session – it implies the interaction of two individuals. I’m still in the process of setting up my consultation practice, but what I do now in regards to the Birth Chart is writing an analysis and e-mailing it to the person in .pdf format. Basically, I “dissect” the person’s astrological birth chart (or natal horoscope, however you might want to call it), and write a separated paragraph for every placement and aspect, starting from the Sun, and finishing with the so-called “Nodal Axis”. The purpose of this report is to get the person acquainted with his/her own chart and provide insight into the personality and inner structure of the person. For the time being I’m focusing exclusively on natal reports, meaning that I don’t include transits, or progressions. The report is usually around 12-15 pages long – it depends, of course, on the horoscope of the individual, some charts are richer in aspects than others and therefore there might be more to interpret. Thanks for your question!

  • After reading your bio it’s no wonder I vibe with your writing. With backgrounds in psychology, music, N. Node in 9th and three planets in Sag, I relate to being an eternal student and seeing everything through an astrology lens – “I believe our ultimate purpose is living in harmony with the Universe itself, and establishing a communication is therefore crucial.” YES. Thank you for the inspired astro updates and for getting me to listen to Boards of Canada again with your Leo Full Moon article “Open the Light”. Looking forward to following you more in the future. <3

  • I found you via the wonderful Insight Astrology forum. You are such a gifted writer with a rich intellectual scope, as is Faith Thomas and Jessica Murray. What a joy it is to discover Astrologers with such breadth of education – historically, politically, and with current world issues. Reading such educated voices that pull astrology into history, psychology, religion and literature is a new experience for me, although I’m sure they’ve always been around.
I am self taught myself with a few classes behind me, but I want you to know that your writing is luminous and captures the invisible and makes it real. thank you for being an astrologer and sharing your gifts. Is astrology maturing ? or is it me,I wonder. You are most generous with your free advice, but I will email you for your hand done consultation. I don’t care how long I have to wait!

Not to mention that even just the simple fact of being mentioned in the same sentence along two astrologers I greatly respect and admire, like Faith and Jessica Murray, is a honour for me. I do think that everyone of us, educated or not (in the academic sense) has something important to give, the community you mentioned, with its discussions and people gathering together to share what they know, is an example… And I’m definitely happy to find that one of those people found her way to my work. : ) (Of course you’re still, always welcome to ask any question anytime as is everyone!)
