Sometimes, it’s not enough to affirm that ‘our thoughts create our reality’.
Without the willingness to break free from our own mental prisons, this catchphrase becomes wildly ineffective. Without the effort to rise above our prejudices, to challenge our biases, to question our paradigms, change is but a distant, ephemeral mirage.
Sometimes, we also need to unlearn, to deprogram ourselves, to unwire and rewire our neural connections. To disengage from the morbid, compulsory grip of the past, and make room for the future, for no empowering, conscious belief will truly take root in our minds while we are stuck in the rut of social conditioning and trauma-induced beliefs. This might be the hardest, yet bravest and most rewarding task we’re called to face as humans who are also members of a society.

Venus enters Pisces, February 10, 2018 – LSD (Love Sex Dreams)

“Starlust”, by Victoria ‘Witchoria’ Siemer – witchoria.com

Venus immerses herself in the cloudy, blissfully intoxicating waters of Pisces on February 10, after a year-long journey through the Zodiac, prolonged by March 2017’s retrograde phase.
During her rollercoaster through the four elements, she has seen it all, been it all, experienced it all, gathering the energies and impressions from each of the twelve Zodiac archetypes, and storing them into her cellular memory. She has scrutinized the tiniest detail, contemplated the loftiest moral principles, savoured the finest luxuries, faced the most abysmal terror; thus, in the very last sign of the Zodiac circle, she is imbued with an universal, holistic quality that blurs the lines between human and Divine, past, present, and future, tangible and abstract, beatific and poisonous.

Full Moon in Leo, January 31, 2018 – Glow Like Dat

The next Full Moon, arrives on January 31, at 11 degrees 37 minutes of bold, regal Leo (01:26 PM UTC, 8:26 AM ET, 5:26 AM pacific), and, true to the reputation of this sign for being extra, she wants to make sure she doesn’t go unnoticed.
More than a simple plenilune, this is Luna herself putting on a show – a crossover of basically every lunar occurrence we could imagine, happening at the same time. Blue moon (meaning that the moon is reaching her full phase for the second time this month)? Check. Blood moon (a colloquial expression used to describe the coppery-reddish hue of the moon resulting from the Rayleigh scattering effect)? Check. Supermoon (what happens when the full moon is closer to earth and about 14 percent brighter than usual)? Check. Most importantly, topping it off, this all-in-one Full Moon also announces the start of 2018’s eclipse season: like a seasoned illusionist, the moon will slip into the earth’s shadow, creating a total lunar eclipse.

Mars enters Sagittarius, January 26, 2018 – Silver Arrows

“Jason and his Teacher”, by Maxfield Parrish (1870 – 1966).

The cyclical views of time promulgated by ancient thinkers such as Plato and Leonardo da Vinci, and expressed in Hindu scriptures, find their echo in the newest cosmological models that uphold the theory of a ceaselessly contracting and expanding Universe.
The Cosmos shrinks and grows accordingly to a precisely orchestrated pace, and we, the small-scale universes in miniature, are naturally bound to do the same.

Venus enters Aquarius, January 17, 2018 – Love is Freedom

"Beethoven Frieze" (1901), by Gustav Klimt (1862 - 1918).
“Beethoven Frieze” (1901), by Gustav Klimt (1862 – 1918).

The wind blows wherever it pleases (John 3:8), and so do the winds of Love when Venus enters defiant, brilliant, dissident Aquarius.
The Goddess of Love made her entrance in the sign of the Water Bearer today, January 17, to remind us that we can’t control Love, direct Love, or fence it in. We either choose to be Love, unconditionally, or to fall prey to the Ego.
Love as it unfolds between incarnated human beings is unpredictable. Revolutionary. Love and freedom must go hand in hand – sometimes, at the price of our own emotional attachment to a situation, a person or a dynamic that feels so deeply familiar, like a second skin.
